About your Memorial Glass Swirl Paperweight- Our
talented glass artists will incorporate your loved one’s ashes into a beautiful
solid paperweight. Starting with clear molten glass, we then add the ashes with your
choice of colored glass frit, then manipulate the color to create the pattern
and encase it with another layer of clear glass. Each paperweight will be hand-sculpted, unique in shape, color, and design. Just like us -
no two will be alike. The ash creates a variety of white flecks, sometimes dark
spots and bubbles that make your Memorial Glass truly one-of-a-kind. Please do
not display your item in direct sunlight as magnification can cause
heat/fire. Sizes will range from 3.5"-4". Each Memorial Glass
paperweight comes with a light box.
Engraving - Your loved one’s name will be
engraved on the bottom of the paperweight, so please leave the desired name in the
*required text box. This can be your loved one’s first name or nick name. To
opt out of this option please leave “none” in the text box. (Please see the
photo at the end of the photo collection for an example).
Shipping - If you have selected “shipping”
for your preferred method, after you place your order we will send you a
collection kit including instructions. The kit will include a flat rate
envelope with a return label for your convenience. There will be a $25 charge
in addition to the initial shipping charge.
Free local pick-up - If you selected “Free Local
Pick Up” for your preferred method, once your order has been processed you will
be prompted to pick up a collection kit in our gallery Tue-Fri, 9:30am-5:30pm
or Sat-Sun, 8:30am-5:00pm. If this process is difficult for you, we are here to
help!
Timeframe - Order
times may vary and may take up to 3 weeks to complete. Please be patient as our
small local business creates your memorial art.
The collection process - We
recognize that this process may be exceedingly difficult for you. We encourage
you to invite a friend to help you through this process. We provide you with
the necessary items in the kit to collect 1 level teaspoon for 1 glass item, or
a larger container when order multiple items.
Our promise to you - We assign your order a
unique number to ensure integrity throughout the storage, creation, and
shipment of your memorial glass. The bottom of your piece will have a letter
initial stamped into it during the glassblowing process, this is generally the
first letter of your loved one’s name. For shipping orders, we package your
item(s) carefully and send you the tracking information once shipped. We promise to treat your loved one's ash with love & respect.
